Although Tessa Bramley has been Chef Patron at The Old Vicarage for over thirty years, my relationship goes back even further, in fact another decade, so there’s a long history of fine dining, and I can honestly say things only get better. Swerving the three course option we choose the Prestige menu, a six course tasting option, with matched wines. Every course is a delight, exquisite flavours, elegantly matched and beautifully presented.

I went to a friend's wedding there. It was a small venue but very beautiful. The service was excellent and the food was stunning and cooked to perfection. Lovely.

Fantastic restaurant for a special occasion! Had a 7 course taster menu with paired wines and everything was beautifully presented and tasted great. This is a bit on the expensive side but worth a visit for a special night. Service was excellent and the staff really know their wines! The place had a very homely feel yet still very posh!

Absolutely great place, seasonal menu. Excellent wine list and sommelier. Don't expect to come here on a budget but do expect excellent service and a meal to remember.

My partner took me here for my birthday, and we had a lovely time. We were welcomed for drinks and an explanation of the menu options before being shown to our table, which was great. The food was genuine and flavourful, with a clear importance placed on local ingredients being used to their full potential. A extensive wine collection, once we'd picked a bottle the helpful wine waiter was happy to recommend something "similar but different" for a second- I can appreciate this isn't an easy feat! All in all, we had a lovely night at The Old Vicarage. All the staff were helpful and polite, and the food was exemplary.

Had an absolutely amazing time here celebrating my partner's birthday. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was very interesting and with a good range, the building and chosen decor were lovely, and I much appreciated the wine guru (I'm afraid I didn't take his name, but very much a kindred spirit I feel, as well as being very approachable and amenable - some wine buffs come across as snobbish/arrogant in my experience, but not here! Knowledgable, competent...I'm left rather envious of his job ). Very grateful for the lovely evening.
